Alrighty, folks, 2019 is fast approaching. Like it or not, here she comes. Are you ready to start being your best for the upcoming New Year? Here is a list of some suggestions to help you be the best that you can be in 2019.

1) Ah, and yes, a visit to your dentist should be at the top of the list.

Dr. Jess will happily be your partner in keeping your smile healthy. Start a new habit and make your appointment for 2019 within the next few weeks. A call is all it takes.

2) Take a deep breath and relax.

Literally, take a deep breath and relax. Learn to let go and chill. There are tons of meditation and breathing apps out there that can help you with that. Start giving yourself some chill time, you deserve it!

3) Be kinder to yourself.

Hmmm, that sounds like a good habit to embrace. Treat yourself well and work on cleaning up your inner dialog. Do what moves you too. You definitely can fit this into your 2019 calendar.

4) Be kinder to others too.

Share your good side, even when it may be a bit of a challenge, with others. You will reap many benefits if you keep this up all year long.

5) Get enough sleep.

A good night’s rest means a better mood, more energy and many other health benefits as well. End your day a little bit sooner so you can get adequate sleep.

6) Eat healthier.

Your body will love you back if you eat healthier. Diet and health are related as you know. Add in some healthy options each day, even if it is just one. Make a pact with a friend and help each other make better choices.

7) You may have guessed it, get that body moving.

Walk, dance, jump, run, ride horses, bike, do yoga, or weight training; move that glorious body of yours. Find a physical activity that you truly enjoy and make it a habit. You can do this! You will not regret it!

8) Get creative.

This can be great fun! What entices your imagination? Cooking, painting, pottery, decorating…make sure to get some creative time in during 2019. It is healthy for the mind, body and soul.

Obviously, you have seen lists like this over the years and know that these are good ideas. I’d like you to look at the list and seriously consider doing some of these in a bigger way for 2019. Just maybe the time has come for you to be your best in ways that you have not before. I challenge you to make 2019 a year that will bring you more than you imagined possible. Let’s all be our best!
