What’s all the floss about?
June 25, 2021
These questions come into play each time we visit the dentist: Do you floss? How often?
Unfortunately, people sometimes get uncomfortable or intimidated by these questions. We assure you, the hygienists are not trying to hassle you. Actually, their objective is to get you to take better care of your teeth and gums. Your health is foremost in their mind, and they want you to be a success for your own sake.
Flossing takes just a few minutes a day. And, if you could do it once a day that would be great. At the very least, commit to a few times a week and build up from there. Personally, we like (What flosses we like best here) dental floss. Patients get a sample of (Type of floss here) floss in their goody bag when they come to our office for a cleaning and exam.
Simply put, flossing helps to get rid of bacteria and food that is trapped in between the teeth and gums which can potentially have an adverse effect on the health of your teeth and gums. Just a few minutes of flossing a day will do the trick. Now, how easy is that?
So what’s all the floss about? Healthier teeth and gums; a smile that could last a lifetime. That’s all, and that’s quite a lot!
